Comfortable and spacious holiday accommodation, in the heart of rural Shropshire

Welcome

Steeped in history, Stud Farm Barns, in the peaceful hamlet of Goldstone, close to Market Drayton, offers two unique, holiday barns available for hire in 12 acres of unspoilt farmland. No matter how long you plan to stay for you will find these beautiful, converted barns are perfectly located for you to explore the best that this picturesque part of the UK has to offer. Whether you are planning peaceful walks or leisurely bike rides, visits to historic castles and museums, pretty gardens, or family attractions such as Alton Towers’ theme park, you will find all are in easy reach of your luxurious base.

Dating back to the early 1900s, both barns, Clive Barn and Darwin Barn, have been lovingly and carefully restored to create accommodation that offers guests both a modern and relaxing retreat in the heart of rural Shropshire. And not only have period features been retained, wherever possible, including original, wooden beams, the cottages give yet another historic nod to the area’s famous past too. For the properties are named after two of Shropshire’s most famous sons, Robert Clive and Charles Darwin.

Robert Clive, also known as Clive of India, was the commander-in-chief of British India in the 1700s, and Charles Darwin was the English naturalist and geologist responsible for creating the theory of evolution.
